Today's Most Bet On - December 31: It's All About the Bowls

The most wagered on side today is the Cincinnati Bearcats with most of the other Bowl games seeing relatively balanced action early on.

Cincinnati plays Virginia Tech in the early Bowl game, the Military Bowl.

The Bearcats were seeing roughly 62% of the action as a -6.5 favorite.  That number has trended upwards in conjunction with the action coming in from -5.5.  Some books were holding at -7 just prior to kickoff.

Oklahoma State was seeing around 60% of the action as a +5.5 dog versus Missouri in the 3:45 pm EST Liberty Bowl.

One would anticipate a line that is moving downward, but instead we are seeing a general swing from -7.5 to -9.  That seems to be an indication that the bookmakers are expecting a double-digit win for Missouri.  Certainly the Tigers have them exposed.

All eyes will be on Tuesday's big Rose Bowl at 5 pm EST with nearly 90% of the action on the Buckeyes, leaving the books extremely exposed.  While some have moved up to -7, the likes of 5Dimes, Pinnacle, Bookmaker were all holding at -6.5.

Sagarin indicates the line should be Buckeyes -5.  This one we are giving the Washington Huskies a 65% chance of covering.  More recreational books dropping to -6.5 coupled with the sharp books either staying at that number or even drifting down to -6, we could see us lift that chance to 70%.
