Bet on Tiger Woods now!  His 2009 British Open payout odds are the best we have ever seen Tiger listed at:  The payout would be an astonishing $550 for every $100 bet at Sports Interaction.  And so what if he's playing terrible golf.  In the past Tiger Woods has shown he can come up from behind down the stretch, although that hasn't exactly translated into wins the last few Major Tournaments.

"Well, I certainly made a few mistakes out there today," he said. "Realistically I probably should have shot about 1- or 2-under par today. But I made a few mistakes and consequently, I'm at 1-over.

Asked what was going on, Woods said, "I hit a couple of shots to the right today, and three-ripped a hole from about 15 feet, and I didn't take advantage of 17. So there you have it."

Most of those atop the leader board after Day One's play promise a hefty five figure payout for every $100 bet for anyone who manage to get the odds early on.

Steve Stricker would now pay out $1400 for every $100 bet at Sports Interaction.

Ben Curtis, in third place after Thursday's action, would pay out $1400 for every $100 bet.

Miguel Angel Jimenez sat atop the leader board and would now pay $2000 for every $100 bet.

You can check out all the updated 2009 British Open payout odds at Sports Interaction here.  Be sure to lock these odds in now.  You will not be able to bet during the tournament and the odds are subject to change if bets are not placed prior to Day 2.
