2009 NCAA Brackets Announced – Selection Sunday Results
Carrie Stroup here and I will be with you through this Selection Sunday program. The 2009 NCAA brackets were being announced this evening immediately following the Ohio State vs. Purdue game, won by the Boilermakers. As these results come in, Gambling911.com will be posting them.

Early predictions had Louisville, North Carolina and Pittsburgh as likely candidates to earn number one seeds while Memphis was also vying for a number one seed.
Then there was the question of which teams would just barely squeak into the 2009 NCAA Tournament.
Would it be St. Mary's? Creighton? San Diego State?

Pittsburgh is in the East region, North Carolina in the South, UConn in the West. These are your four number one seeds.

#3 Kansas plays #14 North Dakota State
#4 Wake Forest will play #13 Cleveland State
#5 Utah will play #12 Arizona

#7 Boston College will play #10 USC
#8 Ohio State will play #9 Sienna
In the West:
#1 Connecticut plays Chatanooga
#2 Memphis plays Cal Northridge
#3 Missouri plays Cornell
#4 Washington plays Miss St.
#5 Purdue plays Northern Iowa
#6 Maquette plays Utah
#7 California plays Maryland
#8 BYU plays Texas A&M
The East Region:
