The 2009 NCAA Men's College Basketball rankings have been released and there is not a consensus on which team should be ranked number one.  It's still close though. North Carolina (1-0) received 30 of 31 first-place votes in the latest ESPN/USA Today coaches' poll.

Connecticut remained ranked second.

The rest of the top 19 remained the same. Louisville was third, followed by UCLA (2-0) at No. 4 and Duke (3-0) at No. 5. Pitt (1-0), Michigan State (1-0), Texas (1-0), Notre Dame (1-0) and Purdue rounded out the top 10.

North Carolina, which is also No. 1 in The Associated Press Top 25 poll, hosts Kentucky on Tuesday and is at Cal-Santa Barbara on Friday before playing in the EA Sports Maui Invitational next week in a field that also features Texas and Notre Dame.

North Carolina was given 3/1 odds (or +300) to win the 2009 Men's NCAA Basketball Tournament.  U Conn was made a +1000 long shot.  Louisville would pay $1500 for every $100 bet.  Duke would pay $1200 and Pittsburgh would pay $2000.  The only single digit favorite to win was North Carolina.
