It's the end of September with three weeks of play completed in the NFL. It's the same old, same old when it comes to using the three most critical factors in handicapping NFL.

For a complete review of these theories, please go to the article on this site, "Handicapping the NFL is as Easy as 1,2,3". There are other, more expansive articles on this site, which deal with the same topics. For now, however, let's review these critical factors after the 1st 3 weeks of the season.

1. Teams who outrush their opponent by 30+ yards/game had a 10 year history of 1263-402 (75.9%). This year, our 30+ rushers are 21-8 (72.4%) Right on the money.

2. Teams who are +3 or more turnovers in a game vs. their opponent have a 10 year history of 525-37 (93.4%). This year, they are 10-1 (91%)

3. Our 3rd winning factor is to seek ATS success when the line is 6 or less by isolating the SU winner of the game. This factor has been over 80% for many years. This year, the record is 33-6 (85%)

There are clearly many ways in which you can handicap the NFL, but the bottom line results always remain the same for these three critical factors. Consider them as part of your handicapping arsenal every week when handicapping the NFL.
