  • Zverev won 7-6 (3), 6-1, 6-3 over Rafael Jodar in the quarterfinals of the French Open on Tuesday

  • Mensik won 6-4, 6-3, 7-6 (3) over Joao Fonseca in the quarterfinals

Alexander Zverev takes on Jakub Mensik Wednesday at 4 am EDT.

Zverev is favored at -450 while Mensik will pay US$340 for every US$100 bet.

Zverev won 7-6 (3), 6-1, 6-3 over Rafael Jodar in the quarterfinals of the French Open on Tuesday.

He rallied back from 5-2 down in the opening set and then largely cruised the rest of the way past the 19-year-old Spaniard and into the semifinals after two hours and 25 minutes on court. The 29-year-old German finished with seven aces and exactly 35 total winners and unforced errors.

Mensik won 6-4, 6-3, 7-6 (3) over Joao Fonseca in the quarterfinals of the French Open on Tuesday.

Mensik continued with the best Grand Slam appearance of his career so far as he downed the No. 30-ranked Brazilian in straight sets across two hours and 44 minutes to move into his first major semifinal. The No. 26 seed from Czechia struck 11 aces and 49 total winners compared to 39 unforced errors in the victory.

Afterward, the Czech star reflected on the pair’s night-session battle.

“I would say [it was] tough and so much was expected from both of us, from the audience and from everyone. I'm super happy with the performance overall. I mean, 20, 30 minutes of the match, it was just a really insane level from both of us and at key moments,” Mensik said in his post-match press conference.

“Even after those match points when I didn't manage to take them, when I was 6-5 up, I'm happy that I stayed mentally focused and calm and managed to level up my game in the tie-break and be the one who managed to take it.”
