Anthony Kim's odds to win the 2009 US Open ranged anywhere from +3000 to +5500 with the best odds found at Sportingbet.com according to Gambling911.com data. That payout would be $5500 for every $10 bet. Sportingbet does not take US customers.
SBG Global was offering Kim with odds of +4000 for those living in the United States.
Kim is an American golfer born in Los Angeles and resides in Dallas, Texas. He was part of the winning USA team in the 2005 Walker Cup and the 2008 Ryder Cup. His best finish was 7th at the 2008 Open Championship.
Kim turned professional in 2006 and after receiving a sponsor's invitation he finished in a tie for second on his PGA Tour debut at the 2006 Valero Texas Open.
Kim told Golf Monthly "I'm here to win the US Masters".
This will be his debut in the event.
"I am very excited to be here and have waited a long time to get a tee time at Augusta. I have watched this tournament on TV, but that really does not do the course any justice.
"You see people chipping into bunkers and you think that can't be right. But then you come here and you see the greens for yourself."
When asked what would constitute a good week for him on his Masters debut, Kim claimed there was only one outcome on his mind.
"I hate to say it this way, but you don't come to a golf tournament without feeling like you're here to win a golf tournament.
"I know that if I didn't feel that way, I wouldn't be here. With that being said, there are so many other guys that have played here that have had great careers, and who have never won here. But I'm here to win the golf tournament, and I'll do my best."
