Best Wyndham Championship Tournament

BetUS.com is offering odds on the Best Wyndham Championship Tournament 2010, which takes place August 19th thru August 22nd, 2010.   The listed favorite in this one, Carl Pettersson, pays $180 for every $10 bet.

Other odds to win the Best Wyndham Championship Tournament have Ryan Moore at 22/1, Brandt Snedeker at 25/1 and Anthony Kim at 25/1.

BetUS.com was also offering matchup betting on this tournament, which may provide a better option for winning, though at reduced payout odds.  Note:  BetUS.com is predicting against Pettersson in the matchups.

Some suggestions from the folks at BetUS.com:

Anthony Kim +165 vs. Carl Pettersson -210 - - “Its all about value and Pettersson provides zero value in this matchup. Yes, Kim has been atrocious since returning from the surgery that left him out of competitive action for months, but hes still a Top 15 in the world ranked player while Pettersson has been on a perceived roll. I italicize “perceived” because although Carl won the RBC Canadian Open, finished 24th at the PGA Championship, and finished 6th at the AT&T National, he missed the cut at the John Deere Classic and finished 51st at the Greenbrier Classic. I have to back A.K. in this matchup at those juicy golf odds.  Pick: Anthony Kim”

Carl Pettersson -115 vs. Ryan Moore -115 - - “Moore won this tournament last year and too much is being read into Petterssons Top 25 finish at the PGA Championship. Ryans been looking forward to this tournament all year long. Pettersson? He could burn me, but Im comfortable going with the defending champ in this matchup.  Pick: Ryan Moore”

Brian Gay -115 vs. Steve Marino -115 - - “Marino finished in the Top 10 at the 2009 Wyndham Championship, but Gay has the perfect game for Sedgefield CC. Like Dustin Johnson last week at Whistling Straits, Sedgeifeld CC sets up for Gay who is ranked 3rd on the PGA Tour in driving accuracy percentage and 4th in putts per round. Because Gay, who hasnt had a great 2010, isnt a big golf odds underdog in this matchup, I have to assume that the odds makers and golf betting fans believe hes got a shot to beat Marino. Im backing Gay. Pick: Brian Gay”
