 NFL Betting fans will see two very similar teams square off in the AFC Championship Game this weekend.

The New York Jets and the Pittsburgh Steelers, who meet Sunday at Heinz Field (6:30 pm ET, CBS), have more in common than many might realize.

For example, both the Jets and Steelers were among the NFL's top-three teams in total defense, and both have a solid rushing attack.

And both will be making their second trip to the AFC Championship in the last three years.

The difference is, the Jets haven’t made it past that point.

NFL Odds at betED.com have the Steelers as a 3.5-point, -200 favorite and the over/under total at 38.5.

The teams are also pretty even over the past seven meetings, with the Steelers holding a 4-3 edge straight up but the Jets covering the spread in four of those tilts.

The Jets won the most recent meeting just last month, beating the Steelers 22-17 and covering as a 4-point road underdog. The score sent over the total of 36.

Last week, New York (11-5 SU, 9-7 ATS) upset the New England Patriots 28-21 in their AFC divisional matchup at Foxboro, cashing as a 9-point underdog. The score went over the total of 45. 

The Steelers (12-4 SU, 10-6 ATS) beat AFC North rival Baltimore Ravens 31-24 in an AFC divisional game Saturday. They covered the 3.5–point spread and the score went over the total of 38.

The Jets are 13-3 SU in their last 16 games on the road, and the Steelers are 4-1 SU in their last five games at home.
