A possible first round playoff preview is on tap for Friday night in Philadelphia as the 76ers host the Boston Celtics.  The 76ers have been one of the best teams in the NBA betting the past month as they have gone 16-6 in their last 22 games. They haven’t had much success against Boston though losing 12 of the last 14 meetings.

Boston is 2 point favorites at SBG Global and the total is set at 191.5

The Celtics have been the top team in the Eastern Conference for much of the betting season but after a loss against the Clippers on Wednesday the Celtics lead in the conference is just 1.5 games over Chicago.  Boston might have a tough time bouncing back from that defeat against a Philadelphia team that is capable of playing with anyone. The 76ers are 7-3 in their last ten home games with their only losses coming to Orlando, Dallas and Oklahoma City. The 76ers had the Thunder beat on Wednesday only to see Kevin Durant hit a three-pointer to send the game into overtime where the Sixers lost.

Boston is still trying to work their new players into the lineup and it has not always gone smoothly.  Jeff Green, Nenad Krstic, Troy Murphy and Carlos Arroyo have been added to the team and none have really found their place yet.  The Celtics are without forward Glen Davis and guard Delonte West who are injured but they might get Shaquille O'Neal back on Friday.

The Celtics and 76ers have been giving up quite a few points lately. The 76ers have given up 100 points or more in five straight games while Boston has allowed 100 or more in four of their last five.

Here are the basketball betting stats for Friday’s game. The Celtics are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 road games. The Celtics are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 Friday games. The Celtics are 15-5-2 ATS in the last 22 meetings in Philadelphia and the road team in this series is 6-1 ATS in the last 7 meetings.

The 76ers are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 vs. the Atlantic. The 76ers are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 home games. The 76ers are 19-9 ATS in their last 28 vs. the Eastern Conference. In this series, the Underdog is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings.

The Over is 5-1 in the Celtics last 6 overall. The Over is 4-0 in the 76ers last 4 overall. The Over is 5-1 in the 76ers last 6 home games.
