Michigan State is back in the Final Four for the fifth time in the last 11 years as they face Connecticut on Saturday.  Not many people predicted the Spartans would make it this far, especially with #1 overall seed Louisville in the way, but the Spartans dispatched the Cardinals easily in the Elite Eight and now they get to play at Ford Field in Detroit, less than 90 miles from their home campus in East Lansing. SBG Global reports that early College basketball line has the public taking Connecticut at Home.

Michigan State is led by Big Ten Player of the Year Kalin Lucas and center Goran Suton.  The Spartans have relied on them throughout the NCAA Tournament and both will be key players on Saturday.  Suton has the ability to shoot from the outside and that could be critical since Connecticut has Hasheem Thabeet on the inside blocking shots.  If Suton can draw Thabeet out of the middle then it opens things up for Michigan State.  The one wildcard for Michigan State is Raymar Morgan who has the potential to be a superstar but injuries and illness have reduced his effectiveness this season.

Other than North Carolina there is not a more talented team in the country than Connecticut.  The Huskies have the best big man in the country in Thabeet, an excellent point guard in A.J. Price and a double-double machine in Jeff Adrien.  They even have a freshman in Kemba Walker who looks like a future star and a great defender in Stanley Robinson.  There are very few weaknesses with the Huskies and head coach Jim Calhoun has never lost in the Final Four, winning national titles in 1999 and 2004.

Here are the College Basketball betting stats for Saturday's game. The Spartans are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 non-conference games. The Spartans are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games as an underdog. The Spartans are 21-8-1 ATS in their last 30 NCAA Tournament games.

The Huskies are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 NCAA Tournament games as a favorite. The Huskies are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 Saturday games.
