This fight will be a quick rematch as the two fought back in early May.
"When I first heard about the rematch, I was relaxing at home with my family and my first thought was that I had to start training again. I had mixed feelings about that," Maidana said. "That being said, I am happy to get this rematch and I am going to make the most out of my opportunity."
This is just the second time in the career of Mayweather that he will be giving a fighter a rematch. He defeated Jose Louis Castillo in 2002. While Maidana fought well in the May 3rd bout, there was not much debate that Mayweather won the fight. Mayweather is expecting a similar result on Saturday saying, “I just have to go out there and just be me and be first. I can't really say how the fight is going to play out, but I'm pretty sure he's going to be once again extremely dirty and wild, and my job is to keep everything under control the best way that I can.”
