Detroit Lions vs. Tampa Bay Bucs

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Detroit Lions game features an abundance of different football betting lines depending on where you look.   There is also a great middling opportunity available in this game.

Football betting lines ranged from Tampa Bay -7 ½ at BetUS.com to Detroit +9 at betED.com.  Middling opportunities allow for betting on both sides of a game at two different online sportsbooks.  Hence, if you have Tampa Bay at BetUS.com at -7 ½ and Detroit at betED.com at +9 and Tampa wins by 8 points, you would win both bets.

What are the odds of Tampa Bay winning by 8 points?

Well, an 8 point win is not as common as 1 point, 3 point, 7 point combos, yet that win margin is still very possible.  For example:  Tampa Bay could score 17 points (2 touchdowns and a field goal) and Detroit could score 9 points (3 field goals).  This is just one of the possible combos that could occur.

The Lions are 0-10 and normally this might be a game where the Bucs might be caught looking ahead. But Tampa nearly lost to a one-win team in Kansas City, and their loss at Ford Field last season still is fresh in their minds.

"Well, I've got a feeling he's dealing with it just fine," Gruden said. "It's a tough year. If you're in this business long enough, you're going to have seasons that just don't go the way you've planned them to go. You have to be mentally tough, and he is that. I know this - he's a great coach and a great leader. I'd swear by Rod Marinelli as long as I'm alive."

Linebacker Derrick Brooks said revenge and emotions are not going to determine the outcome of the game.

"Again, we've got to keep the focus on us," Brooks said. "Looking at some of last year's tape this morning, they took it to us pretty good early in that game. The emotions of former players, former coaches, that again has nothing really to do with Sunday. We have to keep the focus on us and make sure we're ready to go getting off that plane up there in Detroit.

"This is the NFL. Records are very meaningless every week in this league. ... Again, I've been a part of two teams that have had some struggles, and if a team took us lightly, they were setting themselves up for failure. Records really don't mean anything in this league. It's week-to-week, it's a real game. This is the NFL and you've got to respect every opponent."

Detroit has beaten Tampa Bay by the current spread 9 of the last 10 times.  Gambling911.com does not recommend a play on Tampa Bay by itself but how about a bet on both sides as described above?  The risk is nominal and both online sportsbooks are offering top cash bonuses when you open an account.
