Sports Interaction betting analyst Frank Doyle is remembering the Titans in his NFL Week 10 picks.
Tennessee isn't going to run the league, for the fact that the Titans finish their season at home against Pittsburgh and at Indianapolis if nothing else. I'm not sure if the Bears will beat Tennessee at Soldier Field on Sunday, but making Tennessee three point road favorites at Chicago seems a little off to me.
The first rule of football handicapping is to favor the home team. Home teams start at -3 automatically, and the line develops from that point. So, for Chicago to start +3 against Tennessee means that the Titans would win by six if they played at a neutral venue. And that seems a lot to me.
Chicago starting Rex Grossman won't fill the home fans with confidence but Grossman wasn't really that bad when he started for the Bears - he had a nightmare in the Super Bowl, but at least he got there in the first place. And his game is simplified now by the presence of Matt Forde in the backfield, allowing the Bears to play traditional Bears football. It's getting chilly in Chicago, the town feels good about itself right now - Chicago +3 with Sports Interaction is a good bet this weekend.
The New York Giants +3 is another tempting bet. Here Philly is favored by three as the home team but, even though Tennessee has the only undefeated record in the league, the Giants look like the best team in the league to me right now. Anytime you get them with points it surely does look like a bargain. New York Giants +3 with Sports Interaction is the bet here.
Finally, I'm liking Kansas City and San Diego to score more than 47.5 points between them at Qualcomm this weekend. 47.5 is the second highest total we have on the board so far this week (New Orleans at Atlanta is set for fifty), but San Diego scores highly and can't defend for nuts. On the KC side, Herman Edwards, the most conservative coach in the league, sent Tyler Thigpen out in the wildcat against Tampa last week, and he caught a pass off a reverse for a touchdown. You can't say these Chiefs aren't trying. Kansas City and San Diego to score more than 47.5 total points, as set by Sports Interaction, is the final bet of the week.
