Free NFL Picks

Sportsinteraction.com betting analyst Frank Doyle sees some surprising lines for Week 12 of the NFL.  He also offers his free NFL picks.

I don't see how you can give Indianapolis points at San Diego. I don't see that. Indianapolis is coming off three good wins, the Chargers are going right into the tank. The Colts can't run, but neither can the Chargers. The Bolts' biggest problem this year, and it's become more obvious as the year has rolled out, is one of leadership. There's a lot of talk about Shawn Merriman's absence from the defense, but I think it runs a little deeper than that. Marty Schottenheimer was criticised a lot for losing in the playoffs but you have to at least get to them before you can lose in them.

The only way I can see the Chargers winning is in the air - Philip Rivers has thrown for 21 touchdowns so far this year - but I think Peyton Manning can match him throw for throw and when it gets down to clawing in the dirt for the final advantage, I think Indianapolis will find a way to win. Or not lose by more than three points. Indianapolis +3 with Sports Interaction is the pick.

Our players are eating up the Giants -3 at Arizona this weekend. It's not hard to see why, as every week the Giants look stronger and stronger and they have some serious wins under their belt. But they also got popped by Cleveland on the road, and Cleveland isn't going to the playoffs. Arizona is going to the playoffs, and it surely does get hot in Glendale, AZ. Arizona could get hammered like a nail of course, and if Justin Tuck gets to smash up Kurt Warner a few times the prospect of that third MVP title will look pretty distant, but a home team, in the desert with the points against a team that's not expecting an ambush looks worth a bet to me. Arizona +3 with Sports Interaction is the bet.

Finally, the total Sports Interaction has set for the San Francisco at Dallas game is an interesting example of how a bettor can take advantage when a book has to set a high number because the public perception of the teams is higher than the reality of their records. Sports Interaction has set the total points scored at 46.5, because the perception is that this will be a shootout or a blowout. But these are two running teams right now and with Tony Romo still not quite right, I think Wade Phillips will take a 14-10 win and whistle all the way home. Under 46.5 points between San Francisco and Dallas with Sports Interaction is the final pick of the week.
