Jones vs. Miocic Odds Continue to Lengthen

After Jon Jones’ dominating performance Saturday night against Ciryl Gane, bettors are backing him in a big way in a potential bout against Stipe Miocic.

Miocic is a former two-time UFC Heavyweight Champion regarded by many as one of the greatest UFC heavyweight fighters of all time.

SportsBetting.ag opening Jones vs. Miocic odds late last night, and the heavyweight champion surfaced as a -250 favorite with the challenger carrying +210 odds.

Within an hour, Jones’ odds had jumped to -330, and there are the current numbers:

Stipe Miocic +295

Jon Jones -360

Despite Jones vs. Gane having tight odds, UFC President Dana White called Jones "The GOAT", or Greatest of all Time, admitting he did not see the fight as competitive.

“There were a couple of interviews leading up to this fight where he said, ‘I’m going to make this look easy,’ and I thought that was a silly thing to say,” White told reporters at the UFC 285 post-fight press conference. “The guy is unbelievable. He really is.”

As for a dream matchup versus Miocic, White said: "I don't know when, but [Jones] is definitely fighting Stipe. He wants the Stipe fight, so we'll make the Stipe fight."

Miocic told Daniel Cormier earlier this week that he received the call to fight the winner of Jones vs. Gane at International Fight Week.

"They called me," Miocic said on Friday. "They said International Fight Week. That's what I was told."

UFC 285 was the most wagered on MMA event in the history of SportsBetting.ag.
