Manchester United Good Value With 5/2 Odds

Manchester United sat atop the Premier League leader board following Chelsea's first loss of the season to Wigan Saturday.

Manchester United's odds to win the 2009/2010 Premier League was now at 5/2 at Sportsbetting.com UK.  Chelsea was still the favorite to win at 11/10 odds.  The team they lost to Saturday, Wigan, was listed with 200/1 odds.

"It was a bad performance. I do not know why we did not play well," Coach Carlo Ancelotti said. "But these things can happen after a lot of victories. We have to accept this loss and fix things for our next match."

United moved above Chelsea on goal difference after Ryan Giggs came off the bench to provide goals for Dimitar Berbatov and John O'Shea.

Liverpool and Tottenham are both three points adrift after emphatic victories.

Liverpool was listed with 13/2 odds of winning the Premier League. 

Tottenham was listed with 25/1 odds.

Portsmouth's worst start continued, losing 1-0 against Everton for its seventh straight league defeat to remain pointless and rooted to the bottom.

After eight wins in all competitions, Ancelotti took Chelsea to a Wigan side that had not previously beaten one of the "Big Four" clubs - also including United, Liverpool and Arsenal - in 34 attempts since arriving in the Premier League.
