BetPhoenix.ag was offering betting odds on The Masters 2015 top amateur with Corey Conners favored at +225 for a potential payout of $225 for every $100 bet or $22.50 for every $10 bet.
Connors, an Ontario resident, will be making his Masters debut at Augusta this week. He now finds himself alongside Mike Weir, as one of only two Canadians in the field.
“It is quite a challenge to play,” he said. “But it was an awesome experience to drive in. I’ve done some practicing and playing. I’ve scored around par a couple of times and practiced just dropping a bunch of balls around the greens.”
Bradley Neil has the next shortest odds that would pay out $28.50 for every $10 bet.
Neil is a Scottish amateur golfer. In 2013, he won the Scottish Boys Championship. In 2014, he won The Amateur Championship, defeating Zander Lombard 2&1 in the final.
The remaining field of amateurs were priced between 5/1 and 6/1.
