Diamondbacks Have Pirates Number
The Arizona Diamondbacks begin their series in Pittsburgh Friday.
The Diamondbacks have gone 6-2 over the last eight meetings versus Pittsburgh.
Arizona is hot at the moment, winning seven of their last eight games overall. They are 19-8 over their last 27 games.
Pittsburgh is pretty much playing .500 baseball at the moment.
Most of the top cappers are backing Luis Ortiz and the Pirates, so Friday might not be the day to back Arizona.
Blue Jays @ Yankees
Is New York getting their house back in order? They've won their last five games (against the Red Sox and a sweep of Philadelphia).
Toronto has won half of their last ten and play the Yankees fairly well.
Yankees career statistics vs. Kevin Gausman are just .239 though Juan Soto is 7-for-13 with five RBI's, which really stands out here.
Gausman is also coming off of three wins and could be due for a poor outing here.
Marcus Stroman has allowed 13 hits in 53 at bats versus these Blue Jays.
Stroman was charged with five runs (three earned) over 3 1/3 innings on Saturday in a no-decision against the Red Sox and is really due for a good start as he hasn't won in his last few. The problem is he's not pitching deep.
