Mosley-Pacquiao Fight Odds

The Mosley-Pacquiao fight odds had Manny Pacquiao a huge -800 favorite to beat Shane Mosley, but the underdog pays $500 for every $100 bet at SBG Global

Mosley insists he will come out the victor of the May 7 fight and added that he is doing Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s “dirty work”.

"I don't know what to make of Floyd not fighting this fight. It's mind-boggling to me," said Mosley, who lost a lopsided decision to the unbeaten Mayweather last year. "It's like I said on Twitter, it feels like I'm doing Floyd's dirty work."

A previously scheduled fight between Mayweather and Pacquiao was cancelled last year over disputed drug testing demands.  Mayweather insisted Pacquiao submit to more stringent Olympic style drug testing.  Pacquiao refused.

Since that time, the two fighters have exchanged plenty of jabs outside the ring in the form of verbal accusations.  This past weekend, Mayweather turned up the heat by posting videos of Pacquiao’s three losing fights on his Twitter page.

The Associated Press on Tuesday reported that Mosley believes Mayweather is afraid to take on a left-handed fighter like Pacquiao as southpaws have given him fits in the past.

There are also legal issues surrounding Mayweather. The fighter is accused of felony grand larceny, coercion and robbery from an incident last September, and also faces misdemeanor domestic battery and harassment charges.

"What I have done in boxing, I am satisfied, I'm happy, and I'm not really pushing that fight hard," Pacquiao said Monday during an interview at The Associated Press. "If that fight happens, that's good for me and the fans, because the fans are very eager to see that fight.

"People want to see a good fight," he said moments later, "between me and him."

When odds first opened on Pacquiao-Mayweather, the Filipino star was initially made a small underdog.

Mosley does have the name recognition but oddsmakers believe this one won’t even be close.

"I'm sure there will be other opportunities," Mosley said, "but this is a fighter who is supposed to be one of the best in history. To take him out would be remarkable."

After all they said the same thing about Mixed Martial Arts sensation Fedor Emelianko for years.  This past weekend, Fedor was upset by another big underdog.  Mosley is hoping for the same.
