One of the things we like to do here at Gambling911.com is compare odds at different online sportsbooks for certain events.  Sometimes you will find a line that is more than 2 points off, depending on the game.

Well, we didn't find that type of disparity on the New Year's Day Bowl games starting off 2009, but even a half point can make a difference.

Sportsinteraction.com had the Michigan State Spartans as a +8 ½ dog in their Capital One Bowl game vs. the Georgia Bulldogs.  Great odds if you think Georgia wins by only 8 (which is the line at most online sportsbooks).  It's a push everywhere but SportsInteraction.com.

Gambling911.com has seen a line of USC -8 to -9 ½ with every option in between though nearly all of its sponsor books had USC at -9. betED.com was an exception if you like Penn State to cover in this Rose Bowl game.  They had odds for Penn State set at +9 ½.

The Orange Bowl game odds had a near even line between Cincinnati and Virginia Tech and a middling opportunity.  If you like Virginia Tech, bet it at Bookmaker.com where they had a line of -1 ½.  If you like Cincinnati, grab them at +2 ½ at Sportingbet.com.  You can win betting both sides in this scenario.  Sportingbet unfortunately does not accept US customers at this time.  Canadian and European readers of Gambling911.com can certainly take advantage of this opportunity.
