His counterpart, Matt Ryan threw for 3,440 yards and 16 touchdowns in his rookie season and was named Offensive Rookie of the Year. "I'm certainly flattered," Ryan said. "There's a number of guys who had great rookie seasons this year, so to even be mentioned in that light is nice. It's certainly a great honor, and I think it speaks to what we did as a team this year." Ryan got plenty of help this season as running back Michael Turner rushed for 1,699 yards and 17 touchdowns.
