When it comes to NFL betting this week, the Philadelphia Eagles vs. New York Giants will be one of the most wagered on games.  As recently as last year, this rivalry would have been considered evenly matched, but things have changed since the Giants won the Super Bowl last year.

In September of last year, for example, the Giants were underdogs at home playing the Eagles.  Today they are -7 ½ favorites after opening at -8.

Yet another middling opportunity presented itself here.  The Eagles were +7 ½ underdogs at betED.com while the Giants were listed as -6 ½ favorites at Bookmaker.com.  Actually this is an excellent middling opportunity.  If New York were to win by 7 points, both bets at the two different books would be won with a nominal risk.  The chances of a 7 point win are much greater than most middling scenarios.

The Giants have beaten Philly by more than the current line 2 of 3 times in recent games.  These teams are pretty split over the last 10.

New York suspended star receiver Plaxico Burress four games for conduct detrimental to the team on Tuesday. Last weekend he accidentally shot himself at a New York nightclub and is facing weapons charges. LB Antonio Pierce was with Burress at the time and his role in the incident is under police investigation. How the team responds to this distraction will have a major impact on Sunday's game.

There is also the question as to which Donovan McNabb decides to show up for this game. In the Eagles' six wins, QB Donovan McNabb has averaged 283 passing yards and has thrown 12 touchdowns with only three interceptions. In Philadelphia's five losses and a tie, McNabb has averaged just 222 passing yards and tossed six touchdowns and seven interceptions.

Gambling911.com strongly suggests taking that middling opportunity by betting both sides at the two different books mentioned above.  Hurry before betED.com moves the line back down to +7.  You'll need to lock these bets in now.
