Oakland Raiders 2009 Odds

Following news reports of rifts between coaching staff of the Oakland Raiders and allegations that head coach, Tom Cable, sent one of his assistants to the hospital after breaking his jaw, hopes for the Oakland Raiders having a successful season are all but shot.  Of course there are Oakland Raiders 2009 odds worth betting.

"Bet the UNDER 5 ½ regular season wins," says Don Shapiro of Gambling911.com.

Those odds were currently available at SBG Global and may actually be reduced further following this incident, hence the reason to lock the 5 ½ in now.

"It's a ‘no-brainer'!" argues Shapiro.  "The Raiders have not won more than 5 games in the last 5 years, now they are supposed to win over that number with the coaches all fighting?"

It's not just about the head coach. The incident apparently occurred after Cable reacted when defensive assistant coach Randy Hanson spoke profanely to defensive coordinator John Marshall. Cable rebuked Hanson, then pushed his chair, which caused the injury.

And the Oakland Raiders 2009 odds of winning anything don't just hinge on coach in-fighting, the team needs to be good and they're not.

Jeff Garcia joining the Raiders as backup quarterback to JaMarcus Russell has added some glimmer of hope to an offense that gets no better than a "C" grade.  The defense is only slightly better.

Nothing, however, says the UNDER like good coach infighting.
