2009 British Open

Bookmaker.com has finally released odds on the 2009 British Open, making them one of the last online sportsbooks to do so.

"Typically they are the first to release a line," said Payton O'Brien, Senior Editor of Gambling911.com.  "Bookmaker.com is where the line originates, according to their slogan."

One thing Bookmaker.com offers that a lot of its competitors does not is British Open matchup betting.

At press time, Kenny Perry was getting more action than any other golfer in his matchup against Brian Gay.  Perry was the -160 favorite.

Elsewhere, Tiger Woods was the +175 favorite to win the 2009 British Open, paying $175 for every $100 bet

Bookmaker.com had Sergio Garcia, Rory McIlroy, Lee Westwood and Ian Poulter as the next big favorites to win the 2009 British Open.

British Open winner two years in a row, Padraig Harrington, would pay out $2700 for every $100 bet, the most anywhere we have checked.

Here were all your odds on the 2009 British Open available at Bookmaker.com, the oldest established sportsbook operating online today catering to the North American gambler.  Receive a 20 percent bonus on top of your initial deposit:

Jon Rahm Surges at PGA Championship

Jon Rahm was going for his third major win at the 107th PGA Championship at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina. He played great, proving he’s ready to be a top golfer again. After some ups and downs since joining LIV Golf in late 2023, Rahm shot an impressive 4-under 67 in the third round on Saturday. This strong round put him tied for fifth place, just five shots behind the leader, Scottie Scheffler.
