Gambling911.com has your latest odds to win the 2009 Super Bowl courtesy of our friends at Bookmaker.com, the oldest established online sportsbook catering to the North American gambling community (since 1985).   These odds were available heading into Week 17 and some slight changes with a few of the teams were likely following Sunday's play.  Some of these teams listed below, in fact, will not even be playing in the post season.  Remember, once you place your bet - those odds are locked in, so the best thing to do is bet early.

Who do the oddsmakers like?

Well, the New York Giants were given no respect last year right through the Playoffs nor were they given any props heading into this season (Dallas, New England, Pittsburgh all had better odds of winning the 2009 Super Bowl at that time), yet here we are with the Giants as a +240 favorite.  That's still some good value with a payout of $240 for every $100 bet at Bookmaker.com.

The Carolina Panthers had the next shortest odds to win the 2009 Super Bowl among NFC teams, paying just shy of $600 for every $100 bet, and judging by how well this team has played, that's some pretty good value.

In the AFC, the Tennessee Titans are finally the favorites despite going much of the regular season undefeated.   The Pittsburgh Steelers had been the favorites much of the season.  As of December 28, Tennessee would pay $350 for every $100 bet to win the 2009 Super Bowl while the Pittsburgh Steelers would pay $375 for every $100 bet.    These two teams are already in so changes in odds were not likely immediately following Week 17 play.

All odds to win the 2009 Super Bowl were as of December 28, 2008.

For a better understanding of how these odds work, if the Arizona Cardinals have odds of +2300, a $100 bet would pay $2300 if they were to win the Super Bowl.  A $1000 bet would pay out $23,000 and so on...

Arizona Cardinals +2300

Atlanta Falcons +1800

Baltimore Ravens +1800

Carolina Panthers +575

Chicago Bears +3900

Dallas Cowboys +900

Denver Broncos +4000

Indianapolis Colts +545

Miami Dolphins +2450

Minnesota Vikings +1480

New England Patriots +1475

New York Giants +240

New York Jets +4000

Philadelphia Eagles +4000

Pittsburgh Steelers +375

San Diego Chargers +1000

Tampa Bay Buccaneers +3500

Tennessee Titans +350
