Odds to Win the 2016 Scottish Open
Odds to win the 2016 Scottish Open for this week had Henrik Stenson as the 9-1 favorite followed by Branden Grace at 11-1 and three others at 14-1 odds: Martin Kaymer, Phil Mickelson and Shane Lowry.
For his part, Stenson said he was feeling major pressure ahead of Thursday’s play.
“We know chances aren’t going to increase the older you get and I think the big change compared to way back is the young players. They are more ready to go at an earlier age,” Stenson said.
He comes into this event on the back of victory in the BMW International Open so is clearly on great form. He finished tied third at Castle Stuart in 2013.
Home favorite Russell Knox (at 25-1 odds) offered: “It’s going to be one of the biggest tournaments I’m ever going to play in. I’ve waited to play in the Scottish Open at Castle Stuart for a number of years, so I can’t wait for it. I get to play in all the Majors for the first time this year, and for me the Scottish Open at Castle Stuart will be the same as a Major.”
