As everyone probably knows by now, Tiger Woods is out of this year’s Open Championship, though it is doubtful he would have been made the favorite.
Instead, that honor goes to Ireland’s Rory McIlroy who is starting to generate quite a bit of buzz for the golf world.
McIlroy comes in at 13/2 odds at William Hill and he is actually being called “The next Tiger Woods”.

McIlroy won the recent US Open after some previous “chokes”. He had completely come undone in a previous Masters tournament.
"He's certainly captured everyone's imagination," said Gary Van Sickle, a senior writer for Sports Illustrated and Golf.com, in an interview with CNN.com.
Lee Westwood had the next best odds at 16/1 followed by Luke Donald at 22/1.
