Players Championship 2012 Betting Odds Offer Massive Payouts: Tiger Woods Pays $1700
When it comes to the Players Championship 2012 betting odds, even the favourite, Rory McIlroy, promises a significant payout of $90 for every $10 bet or $900 for every $100 bet at Bookmaker.eu should he win.
Woods, meanwhile, had some of his longest odds yet at nearly 17/1.
Patrick Reusse of the Boston Herald on Monday declared that Tiger Woods will never again dominate the game of golf.
Any time he shoots a 67 you hear the same question, from the panels on ESPN and The Golf Channel, or from non-golf fans making small talk: "Is Tiger back?”
This is without a definition of what constitutes being back.
He can win again. He showed that at the end of March by winning Arnold Palmer’s tournament at Bay Hill, an event that he’s won about the same number of times that he took a few bucks off former buddy Mark O’Meara in backyard matches in Windermere, Fla.
Can he dominate again? No chance. He turns 37 on New Year’s Eve and hasn’t had the same marvelous move to the golf ball since his fallout with swing coach Butch Harmon a decade ago.
The gamblers seem to be backing off on Woods as well, otherwise we would see his number in single digits by now. The US Masters had him there but once again he disappointed.
Not to be outdone, typically Phil Mickelson would also have odds within single digit range but he, too, was at close to 17/1 odds of winning the Players Championship, same odds as Tiger.
To read these odds below, +900 pays $90 for every $10 bet while +1650 pays $165 for every $10 bet. Want to wager $100? The +900 odds pay $900 for every $100 bet, the +1650 pays $1650 for every $100 bet, and so…
