The San Diego Chargers odds to win the 2008 AFC were still good but odds were brought closer to even at -185 (see BetOnline.com).

The Denver Broncos, who now lead the division after Week 1, were listed with just shy of 2/1 odds at +165 for a payout potential of $165 on every $100 bet.

A number of online sports books opened this one at San Diego -2 ½. The line heading into Saturday night was now Denver -1. Some books had this as a pick.

We love this scenario as Gambling911.com believes the line should have been Denver -1 ½. In other words, we think Denver will cover.

San Diego has owned Denver their last four meetings. Prior to this time, it was just the opposite. It's not easy to win in Denver, yet somehow San Diego pulled it off last season.

Most of the betting action was on the Broncos at between 70 to 75 percent so the books will take a little bit of a hit if we are right....It really depends on how significant this game becomes in terms of betting. We think it will be one of the bigger bets. That just hasn't quite happened yet.

Odds to win the 2008 AFC West were courtesy of BetOnline.com below:

Denver Broncos +165
Kansas City Chiefs +2200
Oakland Raiders +2300
San Diego Chargers -185
