Key Bouts Announced for UFC 310

On December 7, at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Belal Muhammad will make the first defense of his crown against unbeaten Shavkat Rakhmonov in the main event of UFC 310. Perfect in six UFC fights, Kazakhstan's Rakhmonov will now try to unseat Muhammad, who is undefeated for over five years.

This fight card has generated massive interest here at Gambling911.com throughout the weekend.

Muhammad featured an early line of +235 while Rakhmonov came in at -275.

Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson was quick to dismiss Rakhmonov’s premature coronation having fought him and Muhammad within the past three years.

“Belal, he’s got every chance to go out there and do well against Shavkat just like Shavkat has a chance to beat him,” Thompson told MMA Fighting. “I mean he’s the champ. How can you sit there and say [Shavkat] is going to run through him when all we’ve seen from Belal is just domination with everybody? I don’t remember the last close fight that he’s had.

“He did it to Sean Brady, he out-struck him, out-grappled him. He did it with everybody. Myself, Leon, Gilbert Burns. He fought every style. He’s fought strikers. He’s fought grapplers. He’s fought very well-rounded MMA fighters. Come on, you cannot sit there and tell me [Shavkat] is going to run through Belal.”

Colorado's Travis Hunter injures shoulder vs. Kansas State

Colorado two-way star Travis Hunter exited the Buffaloes' 31-28 loss to No. 18 Kansas State on Saturday night because of a right shoulder injury and did not return.

Hunter, a Heisman Trophy contender, appeared to sustain the injury on a hit by Kansas State safety Daniel Cobbs after he hauled in a 14-yard reception during the second quarter. Hunter went to the locker room to have the injury evaluated and returned to the sideline early in the third quarter.

Coach Deion Sanders did not have an update on Hunter's injury afterward and said there was no discussion during the second half about having Hunter return to the game.

Hunter, a preseason All-American and a projected first-round NFL draft pick, leads the Buffaloes with 587 receiving yards and six touchdowns on 49 catches. He also has 17 tackles, three pass breakups and two interceptions on defense. He played 23 snaps on offense and 21 on defense in the first half, recording three catches for 26 yards plus one tackle.

The Buffaloes saw a number of other players go down in this game.

Jimmy Horn Jr., the team's second-leading receiver with 347 yards this season, left the game in the second quarter because of an unspecified injury while Omarion Miller and Terrell Timmons Jr. each exited the game with injuries.

"Certainly, losing Travis and Jimmy and others was tremendous because they're a vital part of our team, a vital part of our identity," Sanders said. "They're a vital part of who we are. So that took a blow. That took a lot out of us."

Raiders Line Steady at +3 Despite Serious Injuries

The Las Vegas Raiders' already thin wide receiver corps might be even thinner for their home game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.

Raiders receiver Jakobi Meyers, who suffered an ankle injury in last week's loss at the Denver Broncos, was downgraded to doubtful Saturday afternoon.

The line on this game had hovered between Steelers -2.5 and -3.  Sagarin has the Raiders the second lowest rated team this week, ahead only of Carolina.

Sagarin also does not factor in injuries right away.  They suggest the Steelers should be at -6.5 assuming Las Vegas is perfectly healthy.

They are not.

The Raiders were already without three-time All-Pro receiver Davante Adams, who is rehabbing a hamstring injury and awaiting a trade. Adams last played for the Raiders in a Week 3 loss to the Carolina Panthers and was on the sideline for Las Vegas' Week 4 home win against the Cleveland Browns. Adams was not with the team in Denver last week.

Meyers has caught 25 passes for 273 yards and a touchdown in five games.
