Two championships on the line at UFC 100
The Ultimate Fighting Championship hits the century mark on Saturday with UFC 100: Making History.
betED.com has MMA Betting Odds for all the fights on the UFC 100 card, including two highly anticipated main event bouts at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas (10 pm ET, PPV).
Two championships will be on the line when UFC heavyweight title holder Brock Lesnar defends his crown against rival Frank Mir in their long-awaited grudge match, and UFC welterweight champion Georges "Rush" St-Pierre puts his belt up for grabs against Brazilian knockout artist Thiago "Pitbull" Alves.
betED.com has former WWE wrestler Lesnar as a big favourite at -230 against interim champion Mir, who is a +180 underdog.
St-Pierre is a huge -330 favourite to beat Alves, who's a +230 dog.
Since Mir (12-3-0) beat Lesnar (3-1-0) at UFC 81, Lesnar has beat Heath Herring by unanimous decision in UFC 87 and Randy Couture at UFC 91.
Mir was scheduled to fight Lesnar at UFC 98 but a knee injury suffered during training caused the fight to be rescheduled for UFC 100.
Canada's St. Pierre faces what many believe will be his toughest test to date when he defends his welterweight title against Alves.
St. Pierre's 18-2-0 record is impressive and even UFC founder Dana White has said he is at the top of the list of pound-for-pound fighters in the UFC.
With just two losses, a punches TKO to Matt Serra in UFC69 in round one and a round one arm bar submission loss to Matt Hughes in UFC50, St. Pierre is a feared fighter.
But Alves has seven straight wins, including victories over Josh Koscheck, Matt Hughes and Chris Lytle.
