This UFC 112 betting preview is courtesy of our friends at SBG Global who are offering odds on all the UFC 112 fights here.

The first UFC event in Abu Dhabi takes place on Saturday as Anderson Silva battles Demian Maia in the feature bout in UFC 112.  Silva is considered one of the best fighters in the UFC and he is a heavy favorite in UFC odds against Maia at SBG Global.  It should be noted that because of the time zone difference, UFC 112 will be shown live on pay-per-view in the United States at 1:00 pm Eastern on Saturday.

Silva is the most feared striker in the UFC and this fight could be over early if Maia can't get it to the ground.  Maia is not getting much respect in UFC odds as he is a big underdog.  Silva is simply a striking machine as he has landed more punches than his opponents on almost a 4-1 ratio.  He has been so dominant that no fighter has even been able to attempt a submission against him in more than five years.  The only concern for those betting Silva is whether he is overlooking Maia.

The co-feature on Saturday in UFC 112 is a battle between BJ Penn and Frankie Edgar.  The UFC odds on this bout are also very one-sided with Penn a big favorite.  The only chance for Edgar is to wear out Penn but that doesn't seem likely. Penn is not only the better striker, he just doesn't go down.  He has never been knocked down in any of his 21 career fights.  Edgar may land more punches in this fight but it probably won't matter.

Also on the main card it is Matt Hughes favored against Renzo Gracie.  Both of these fighters have seen better days but Hughes had the edge because of his wrestling ability. The other two bouts on the main card have tighter UFC odds.  Mark Munoz is a slight favorite against Kendall Grove.  The wrestling edge goes to Munoz and that may be all he needs to win this fight. The other bout on the main card has Terry Etim a small favorite in UFC odds against Rafael Dos Anjos.

The preliminary card in UFC 112 has six bouts on Saturday. It is Phil Davis vs. Alexander Gustafsson, Damarques Johnson vs. Brad Blackburn, John Gunderson vs. Paul Taylor, Nick Osipczak vs. Rick Story, Matt Veach vs. Paul Kelly and Jon Madsen vs. Mostapha Al Turk.
