UFC 135 Betting Analysis

There’s a big reason why Jon Jones is the huge favorite in this match, he has taken out everyone put in his way with a tremendous pace, but to be fair he had fought with mediocre opponents.

This is a clear experienced vs young star situation. Jackson is the old underdog with powerful punches, chin of steel an aggressive style that will try to play with the mind of the young champion. Jones, on the other hand, has a unique style of unorthodox angles, vicious knees, tremendous elbows and an amazing 84 1/2 in reach.

In order to upset Jones and win the title back, Rampage needs to stay close to his opponents, avoiding any type long shot. Also, he needs to search if he can connect his famous uppercuts; Jones’ chin is weaker than Jackson’s that is why one shot might be enough for Rampage.

Jones needs to bring Rampage to the ground, even if that is not his best game. For Jackson is better if both stay on their feet, he has more power and can resist more strikes than Jones. The best asset Jones is his speed, and he looks to be only the 5th fighter to beat Jackson in his 40 fight career.

Jones is a highly intelligent competitor and understands the threats that his legendary opponent has; take him to win in a split decision.
