WGC Bridgestone Invitational
The WGC Bridgestone Invitational is an event that always attracts one of the best fields in golf. The event takes place at the Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio. The 2016 tournament takes place from June 30th through July 3rd.

The event is part of the World Golf Championships and has been sponsored by Bridgestone since 2006. The tournament does have a smaller field than a normal PGA Tour event as only about 75 players qualify.

The Top 50 in the latest World Golf Ranking qualify along with players that were on last year’s Ryder Cup or Presidents Cup teams.

There are also some special invitations for players from the Asian Tour, PGA Tour of Australasia, Sunshine Tour and Japan Tour.
