Saturday Game 1 @ Orioles

Andrew Heaney will start for Texas.  Orioles batters are 19 for 71 against him with 15 RBIs and 7 home runs.

Making his first start since Sept. 4, Andrew Heaney tossed 4 1/3 scoreless frames against the Mariners on September 30 to close out the regular season.  The last three games he has started in have resulted in 6 or fewer total runs scored in those games.

Kyle Bradish starts for Baltimore.

The line on this game was Orioles -145 mark with 76% of the early action.

The total on this game was not moving off the 8 Saturday morning with 78% of the action on the OVER.

Saturday’s game is the seventh time these teams match up this season. The season series is tied 3-3.

Orioles: 6-4, .204 batting average, 2.04 ERA, outscored opponents by three runs.

Rangers: 6-4, .215 batting average, 3.34 ERA, outscored opponents by nine runs.

Wednesday Game 2

Better than 82% of the moneyline action for Game 1 was on Tampa and better than $600K of the cash was on the Rays.  Bovada was one of the few books that dramatically moved this line from Rays -149 to -164, an indication that they likely believed Tampa could win here.  Ultimately Texas walked away with the 4-0 victory, a trend that continued throughout the night Monday whereby all games finished UNDER the total.  This one did feature 9 hits by the Rangers and 6 by the Rays.

The total also moved up at Bovada from 7.5 to 8.  They were an outlier, however, as BetOnline, Bookmaker and Circa all kept this number at 7.5.  BetUS did so as well.

In Wednesday's 3 pm ET game we have Nathan Eovaldi vs. Zach Eflin.

Eovaldi has been stellar against Rays hitters in 73 faceoffs, allowing just 13 hits and a single RBI with no home runs.

Eovaldi did allow seven runs over 3 1/3 innings versus the Seattle Mariners in his final starts of the regular season.  He had given up five runs to that same team his prior start.  The two starts before those he surrendered three and two runs, respectively.

Tampa starter Zach Eflin surrendered three runs across five innings Tuesday in a win over the Red Sox in his final start of the regular season.

80 percent of bets were on Tampa early on the moneyline.

The line dropped from Tampa -160 to -140 at BetOnline and BetOnline overnight.  -166 to -148 at DraftKings and -161 to -148 at Bovada.  We'd like to see if this trend continues as there's a good chance books have an opinion on Texas winning this game.  Eovaldi's numbers against them certainly suggests this.

The total has sat at 8.

Tuesday Game 1

72% to 77% of the overnight action was on Tampa Bay. Bookmaker had moved the line from Tampa -160 to -155.  Circa had the early number between -140 and -147.  Bovada was sitting at -152.  DraftKings had the number at -148.  Bookmaker dropped from -160 to -150.  As of Tuesday afternoon there was significantly more action on Tampa yet the line is dropping.

The total dropped from 8 to 7.5 at DraftKings, Bookmaker and Bovada.  Circa only had the number at 7.5.  Action was nominal overnight on the total.

Rays career statistics vs. Jordan Montgomery are 24 for 85 at bats (.298).  He's given up six home runs to the Rays.

Montgomery had to settle for a tough-luck no-decision his last start, limiting the Mariners to just one run on five hits over six innings.

Rangers career statistics vs. Tyler Glasnow are 7 hits and RBIs in 37 at bats (.189).  He's surrendered two home runs, 2 came courtesy of Marcus Semien.

Glasnow fanned nine in five scoreless innings for the win as the Rays shut out the Red Sox 5-0 to end the season.

MLB Wildcard Series vs. Tampa Bay Rays

The Rangers and Rays have split the last ten meetings but Texas has gone 4-1 in the last five.

Six of the last ten Rangers game have resulted in three or fewer runs scored by Texas. They've allowed three or fewer runs in half of their last ten games.

Rays career statistics vs. Jordan Montgomery are 24 for 85 at bats (.298).  He's given up six home runs to the Rays.

Pay special attention to Andrew Heaney.  The sampling of at bats is small at 41 for this Rays lineup but Heaney has surrendered just 8 hits and one home run (.195).  They've had five RBI's vs. Heaney.

Hits Allowed Prop Bets

One hit payouts (3-1 means a $10 bet pays $30, 6-1 odds pays $60 on a $10 bet).  Two hits typically pay out 6X these payout numbers with all MLB betting available at Americas Bookie.  Only a name, email and text number needed and many cryptocurrencies welcome.  18 and up only.

Baseball News

Chris Paddack Player Prop Bets

Paddack recorded 10 strikeouts over seven shutout innings on Monday in a win over the White Sox. Prior to that start, Paddack was obliterated by the Orioles, allowing nine runs on 12 hits in 5 1/3 innings.

Zach Eflin Player Prop Bets

Zach Eflin has great value in fantasy leagues for the April 26 game against the lowly Chicago White Sox.  Betting on Eflin and the Tampa Bay Rays might make sense if not for the -210 price tag.

Trevor Williams Player Prop Bets

The Nats Trevor Williams held the Astros to one run with four strikeouts across six innings in a no-decision on Saturday.  And the betting public was eating him up at a near 80% clip.
