Texas vs. Michigan Betting Line September 6
Texas will take on Michigan in a must see matchup in Week 2.
The Longhorns opened as a -5.5 favorite and this one was bet up to -6.5 by Sunday evening at BetUS.
Texas Routs Colorado State
Quinn Ewers passed for 260 yards and three touchdowns and No. 4 Texas rolled past Colorado State 52-0 on Saturday in the opener for both teams. His passing yards total Over/Under came in at 270.5 against Colorado State. Despite the rout, he still managed to stay Under that number with 260 passing yards.
Ewers connected with Matthew Golden for a pair of touchdowns in the second quarter, one of them a no-look toss, and had another strike to Isaiah Bond as the Longhorns built a 31-0 lead by halftime.
“We (still) have to play better,” Texas coach Steve Sarkisian said. “I don’t think there’s not a coach in America that going to sit in his press conference today an say ‘Hey, we’re good enough to go win a championship’ … (But) this was a good start.”
Texas had its first season-opening shutout since 2004.
Michigan Begins Defense of Title With Decisive Win Over Fresno State
The defending national champion Wolverines were sluggish on offense in much of Sherrone Moore’s debut before making plays on both side of the ball to turn a closely contested game into a lopsided win against Fresno State, 30-10.
Davis Warren and Alex Orji each threw a touchdown pass, Will Johnson returned an interception for a score.
The Wolverines (1-0) were breaking in new quarterbacks behind a revamped offensive line and Moore, whose enthusiasm was on full display before the game began.
“That’s just who I am,” he said. “Wear my emotions on my sleeve.
“I was excited, so I expressed it, but I was so excited to watch our boys play.”
The Very Early Line Review
Both teams come into this game ranked.
Using the Week 1 Sagarin numbers, we get a line of -7.5 Texas in their game against Michigan. That early 5.5 to 6.5 is still an underlay.
The Week 2 Sagarin numbers have since been published. This time we get a line of 6.3 favoring Texas. That gives us an overlay of 1 with the actual line still -7.5 early on.
