Tennessee is a -6.5 favorite against Texas in their 2nd round of the 2024 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament.

Texas (21-12) managed to hold Colorado State to just 11 points in the first half of their game Thursday night to win 56-44.   It's noteworthy that Colorado State became only the 10th team in tournament history to score 11 points or less in the first half.

Equally notable perhaps: Texas went 1 for 14 from deep against the Rams.

Tennessee, meanwhile, destroyed Saint Peter's 83-49.  In the end, the Vols were too deep a team to allow the Peacocks a repeat of the memorable run they experienced just two years ago.

The Volunteers came in ranked third in KenPom's adjusted defensive efficiency by allowing 91.2 points per 100 possessions.

Zakai Zeigler is averaging 11.8 points, six assists and 1.8 steals for the Volunteers.  His score total for this game is 13.5.

Dalton Knecht is averaging 23.2 points over the last 10 games.

Knecht comes into Saturday's game with the highest score total of 22.5.  He scored 23 points against the Peacocks on Thursday.
