The Sugar Bowl game between Texas and Washington features balanced action on the spread.  The line has moved primarily between -4.5 and -4 favoring the Longhorns though we've seen the number land briefly on the 3.5 and open at 5.

We get a number of Texas 3.92, suggesting this one is right on the money.  These scenarios in this number range tend to provide the dog an edge based on our own model.

Washington is hoping for its third national title in program history while Texas seeks its fifth before departing to the SEC.

Michael Penix Jr., the starting quarterback for the Huskies, comes in with a passing yards total of 313.5 for this game.

Penix Jr. lead the nation in yards passing with 4,218. He'll go up against the Longhorns stout defense that

features arguably the best set of tackles in the country in All-American T’Vondre Sweat and second-team All-American Byron Murphy II. Texas ranked third nationally in yards allowed rushing with 80.8 per game and had 32 sacks this season, tied for 36th nationally.

Texas starting QB Quinn Ewers comes in with an Over/Under passing yards total of 288.5 for this game.

Ewers led Texas football to the Big 12 championship while setting multiple Big 12 championship-game records.  He threw for 452 yards on 35-of-46 passing while shattering the previous Big 12 title-game record of 384 yards passing set by Oklahoma's Sam Bradford in 2008 in the title game against Oklahoma State.
