The View Cohost Calls 'Golden Bachelor' Relationship 'Complete Crock' Following Split
(April 16, 2024) - The View cohost Ana Navarro appears to have predicted the Golden Bachelor marriage would end almost as quickly as it began.
"I had pimples that lasted longer than this marriage," she proclaimed to her fellow The View colleagues.
The couple announced their marriage was coming to an end just hours before this episode of The View aired.
"For like, six months, you tortured me every Friday and made me talk about this topic, which I can't stand because I think it's manufactured and a complete crock," Navarro said.
"So, today, I get to say, I told you so, I told you so, I told you so!" she exclaimed.
Navarro wasn't the only one angry.
As one disgruntled Instagram commenter put it: "I wasted so many weeks of my life watching you chase after this man. Wasted time I can't get back. I won't be watching any future 'Golden Bachelor.' What a disaster it turned out to be."
Gerry Turner, 72, selected Theresa Nist, 70, to be his wife on the more mature version of ABC's "The Bachelor" franchise.
"It was one of the most incredible experiences of my life, something I never expected to happen at this point in my life and I truly thought it was going to last forever," Nist wrote. "It turns out, even at the age of 70, you don’t know everything.”
During their "Good Morning America" interview, Nist and Turner noted deciding where to settle down contributed to their decision to split.
