Dave Mason of BetOnline has revealed the top college football bet counts for Week 1 so far, and the top two involve one game.

1. Utah -6.5 (v Florida)

2. Florida +6.5 (@ Utah)

3. Nebraska +7 (@ Minnesota)

4. Colorado +20 (@ TCU)

5. LSU -2.5 (v Florida St)

The line on the Gators vs. Utes game dropped from -8.5 to -4.5.

Utah currently ranks within the Sagarin Ratings Top 20 while Florida comes in rated at 36.

We get a number of 9.1 in this game, which is a half point above the opening line.  The underlay ranged from 2 points when the line opened to 4.5 with the current number heading into Thursday's game.

Last year's Gambling911.com college football betting model gives Utah a nice edge here with the base number at 7 and the line staying under that number.  The -8.5 was only found at a few outlier books very early in the season. We even had a few opening at 9.

The line movement compared with the action coming in (60% or greater on Utah) suggests a strong opinion on Florida, however.

Colorado is an early darling in college football thanks mostly to Deion Sanders taking the reigns and overhauling the program.  His school faces last year's shock College Football Playoff Championship loser TCU as a +20 dog.

LSU cracks Dave's Top 5 as another team that plays post Thursday.  The line here has mostly sat at -2.5 and the Tigers were seeing around 60% of the action, which is a big number for such a heavily wagered on marquee game.

The Tigers face the Seminoles on a neutral field, if you could call it that.  They'll be playing in Orlando.  The home field advantage needs to be tacked onto the Noles line.  This gives us an underlay of 1 point.

Last year's Gambling911.com college football betting model gives LSU a nice edge.
