Orioles vs. Blue Jays Series

(May 19, 2023) - Orioles are 16-35 in the last 51 meetings in Toronto.  The Blue Jays have won seven of the last ten in this overall series but Baltimore is improving greatly.

Yusei Kikuchi (5-0 with a 3.89 ERA) was certainly due for a bad outing and he got just that on Sunday as he was pounded for three homers and five runs -- four earned -- in four innings by the Braves but walked away with the no-decision.  He's still without a loss but Orioles batters are 20 for 66 against him (.303) with six homers.

Kyle Gibson (4-3, 4.67 ERA)

Toronto Blue Jays career statistics vs. Kyle Gibson are averaging .283.

Kyle Gibson surrendered four runs over five innings Sunday in a loss to the Pirates.  He has not won in his last four starts.

Yankees vs. Blue Jays Series

(May 15, 2023) - The Blue Jays are just 4-11 in the last 15 meetings in Toronto vs. the New York Yankees.

On Tuesday, Toronto Blue Jays career statistics vs. Domingo German are 18 for 84 (.214) but with 7 home runs.  Bo Bichette has three against him and has been hot of late.  He hasn't won since April 26.

Aaron Judge (.261) is 9 for 23 against Kevin Gausman with three home runs.

Gausman fanned nine over six scoreless innings Wednesday but didn't factor into the decision his last start.  He got torched prior to that one.  His last win with April 23.

The Under is 8-1 in the last 9 meetings.

No Way Will the Blue Jays Be Swept By the Red Sox

(May 3 2023) - Update: The Red Sox about to sweep the Blue Jays with three straight wins If you are looking for a team that is playing well and has been dominant over a division rival that has been lackluster, look no further than the Toronto Blue Jays.  They are 21-7 in the last 28 meetings vs. the Red Sox and 8-2 in the last 10 meetings in Boston.  Of course we'd be remiss in mentioning these two losses occurred over the past two days.  It's unfathomable to see the Blue Jays lose three straight in Boston.  They are the -140 favorite here.  We do like Toronto here.

Alek Manoah hasn't had a win for Toronto since April 5. Boston Red Sox career statistics vs. Alek Manoah are just 13 for 58 (.224) against him.

Toronto Blue Jays career statistics vs. Nick Pivetta have gone 45 for 141 at bats. Bo Bichette is .417 against him with two home runs. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has two home runs against him as well.   Toronto Blue Jays Betting News

Blue Jays 8-0 in Boston, 21-5 Last 26 vs. Red Sox

(May 1 2023) - If you are looking for a team that is playing well and has been dominant over a division rival that has been lackluster, look no further than the Toronto Blue Jays.  They are 21-5 in the last 26 meetings vs. the Red Sox and 8-0 in the last 8 meetings in Boston.  Toronto was a -160 favorite Monday.  Boston Red Sox career statistics vs. Jose Berrios are just .205 against him (15 of 73 at bats).  Alex Verdugo (.308) has enjoyed success against him.  He's 6 of 14 at bats with one home run.  Corey Kluber is 1-4 on the season with a 6.75 ERA starting for Boston. He allowed one run over six innings on Tuesday in a win over the Orioles but was lit up for seven runs his prior start.  Toronto batters have destroyed him, going 40 for 110 (.364).  Matt Chapman (.384) is 5 for 5 against him.  Man, you gotta just love the Blue Jays here.

Blue Jays vs. Yankees

(April 21, 2023) - The Blue Jays owned an 11-8 record coming into their series against the New York Yankees, a team they've split wins and losses with over the last ten meetings for the most part.

After going 2-1 against what was an undefeated Rays team, Toronto fell 1-2 to a Houston Astros club that is off to a slow start.

The Yankees come into this series with a 12-7 record.

The Under was 14-6 in the last 20 meetings between these two teams.

In Saturday's game, Gerrit Cole enters with a 4-0 record with an 0.95 ERA.  Toronto Blue Jays career statistics vs. Gerrit Cole are 50 hits in 204 at bats for .245.  Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (.338) is 9 for 26 at bats with two home runs and 5 RBIs versus Cole. Alejandro Kirk (.250) is 4 for 11 with a single home run versus Cole (.364).  Whit Merrifield is 6 for 17 (.353).

New York Yankees career statistics vs. Alek Manoah are not good. They are just .186 against him with one homer in 86 at bats (16 hits).  Anthony Rizzo (.344) is 4 for 12 against Manoah with 3 RBIs.

The total on this game is 7.5.

Blue Jays vs. Astros

(April 16, 2023) - The Under was 6-2 in the last eight games of this series.  There was no edge in the series.  Game 1 had the 10-6 Blue Jays as a -125 favorite in Houston, which was 7-9.

Game 1 - Toronto Blue Jays career statistics vs. Cristian Javier .290 (9 hits in 31 at bats).  Javier has allowed five home runs vs. Blue Jay batters.  Toronto's Whit Merrifield (.273) has two home runs against him in five tries.

Game 1 - Houston Astros career statistics vs. Kevin Gausman.  He's been solid with Astors batters only 8 for 41 at bats (.195).  Kyle Tucker is 3-for-4 against him though.

Game 2: Over Anyone?

Game 2 - Toronto Blue Jays career statistics vs. Jose Urquidy.  They've hit him hard, going .368 (21 in 64 at bats).  Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has two home runs and five RBIs against him.

Game 2 - Yordan Alvarez has three home runs against Chris Bassitt.  Batters are 18 for 74 (.243) against him.  This one could be a barn burner.

Blue Jays 5-1 in Last Six But Playing in Same Division as Rays

(April 12, 2023) - The talk of the American League East has been all Tampa Bay Rays as they were off to a red hot 10-0 start.

Toronto was coming into Thursday's game with a 8-4 record and winners of six of their last seven.

The hot trend in the series vs. Detroit would be the Under and here is why:

  • Under is 22-6 in the last 28 meetings.

That Under trend continued Wednesday night with 7 runs scored, and that one went into 10 innings.

On Sunday April 9, Matt Chapman went 3-for-5 with a home run as well as a stolen base that helped to carry the Blue Jays to a 12-11 victory over the Angels in 10 innings.  Through just the first week, Chapman had gone .475/.523/.800 with a pair of homers, and 14 RBIs.
