Discredited claims about two former US Presidents, Bill Clinton and Donald Trump, are mentioned in latest Jeffrey Epstein document dump.  A total of 17 documents were released on Monday.

Epstein, a convicted child sex trafficker, died in prison from an apparent suicide.

BetOnline offered betting on who would be named on the so-called "Epstein List".  Trump and Clinton were both among the favorites.  BetOnline pulled the odds for various reasons that included information leaking.  Sources close to Gambling911.com report this prop bet was one of the most popular ever offered in the BetOnline's 25 year history.  The site continues to offer dozens of prop bets on Trump and the upcoming presidential election.

More than 200 documents have been released since Wednesday.  The documents unsealed Monday include several photographs produced by Sarah Ransome, who filed a lawsuit against Epstein, his longtime companion Ghislaine Maxwell and other alleged co-conspirators in 2017 under the pseudonym "Jane Doe 43."

Emails sent by Ransome to a New York Post reporter in the fall of 2016 were unsealed Monday as part of an exhibit.  In those messages, Ransome made allegations that implicated former Presidents Bill Clinton and Donald Trump, Prince Andrew and entrepreneur Richard Branson. She also described alleged videotape evidence she claimed to possess but was unable to provide, according to the messages.

Ransome would later tell the reporter she wanted to "retract everything I have said to you and walk away from this," according to an unsealed message from October 2016.  In 2019, Ransome would tell The New Yorker she made up the story in order to draw attention to Epstein's behavior.

While the release of the highly anticipated Epstein List is turning into something akin to Geraldo Rivera's infamous unsealing of Al Capone's vault in the 1980's, there have been some unexpected twists.

BetOnline did not offer odds on Stephen Hawking, the late British English theoretical physicist and cosmologist, who was confined to a wheelchair and communicated through a speech-generating device.

Epstein reportedly wanted to create 'superhumans' using AI and genetic engineering leading him to fund a scientific conference - to which Hawking was invited.  Hawking was photographed at a barbecue while at a conference at Epstein's private Caribbean island.

Epstein reportedly had grand plans to enhance the human race via mass impregnation.

Then there was magician David Copperfield, who probably wished he could make the Epstein List disappear.  His name is mentioned in newly released documents along with none other than the late recording artist Michael Jackson.

In a  2016 deposition of Johanna Sjoberg, she testified to having had dinner with Copperfield.

“Someone called me from the house and said that he would be there, and if I wanted to come have dinner, then I could meet him,” she said.

“And what happened at that dinner, if anything?” Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre’s attorney Sigrid McCawley asked.

“He did some magic tricks,” Sjoberg said.

Neither Hawkings or Copperfield are accused of misconduct.
