BetUS, one of the largest and oldest established online gambling companies, continues to offer a wide range of betting options on former US President Donald Trump, including whether he will file for bankruptcy and if and when he comes up with the $355 million a New York State judge has ordered him to pay as part of a civil fraud case.
The lawsuit was filed by New York Attorney General Letitia James and accused Trump and his family businesses of overstating his net worth by upwards of $3.6 billion a year over a decade long period in an attempt to fool bankers into giving him better loan terms.
Justice Arthur Engoron also banned Trump from serving as an officer or director of any New York corporation of the next three years. His two sons have been banned for two years. Engoron wrote in the ruling, "are incapable of admitting the error of their ways."
"Their complete lack of contrition and remorse borders on pathological," Engoron wrote. "Instead, they adopt a 'See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil' posture that the evidence belies."
Trump blasted the ruling and continued to deny any wrongdoing.
"This 'decision' is a Complete and Total SHAM," Trump wrote. "We cannot let injustice stand."
While the former President can file an appeal, Adam Leitman Bailey, a real estate attorney in New York, told CNN Trump likely would have to put up 10% of the judgment in cash, plus an additional fee.
It is not immediately clear if he has the money or if he can obtain a loan. Some speculate he may be forced to declare bankruptcy.
On Saturday, Trump made a surprise visit at Sneaker Con to hawk branded $399 shoes.
Trump is currently the front runner in the GOP for his third bid to become President. BetUS has Trump as a favorite to win over the presumptive Democratic nominee, current President Joe Biden.
