Updated 2030 World Cup Odds Have Spain Favorites, Argentina With Long 8-1 Odds

A few days ago, Gambling911.com published the 2030 FIFA World Cup early odds to win.  Spain came in as the favorite, but at 5-1 odds.

On Monday July 20, BetOnline revised its odds.

Spain remained the favorite, but at 9/2 odds.  Argentina still had 8-1 odds (4th shortest).   That's assuming no Lionel Messi or that he's no longer a dominating force four years later.

Messi could technically still be playing in 2030, though he would be 42 and turning 43 during the tournament. While his physical prime will have passed, his unmatched tactical intelligence and playmaking ability mean he could theoretically feature in a specialized or limited role if his body holds up.  We here at Gambling911.com wouldn't count on it however.

Following their 1-0 extra-time loss to Spain in the World Cup final, the Argentinian players sparked widespread controversy. The chaotic aftermath involved on-pitch brawls and unsportsmanlike behavior during the medal ceremony, though none of this appears to have had much of an impact on the early 2030 odds just yet.
