2022 NFL Week 2 Betting Action With Dave Mason: Public Loving Jax
Dave Mason of BetOnline tells us that Jacksonville was seeing some of the more lopsided betting action versus the Colts (76%). That number likely has dropped into the 60's overnight Saturday.
Mason points out that, while Thursday night's game between the Chargers and Chiefs was nearly even in terms of betting action on the spread, "volume was through the roof".

The Detroit Lions line is among the more volatile coming into Sunday, perhaps due to lopsided action on Washington. We had a number of Detroit -2.5 earlier in the week. That's fallen to -1 and could shift to Commanders as the favorite by Sunday morning. We were yet to see the Lions become a dog as of Saturday late night.
We have a number of Detroit 0.51, so this line at Lions -1 is on the money. There was a 1.5 overlay much of the week.
Last week, the three overlays of 1 to 1.5 witnessed three favorites cover. The one accurate line based on Sagarin's numbers saw the dog cover.
Najee Harris and Levi Wallace return to action for Pittsburgh. They may not make up for the big loss the Steelers suffered with TJ Watt out a few weeks.
Around 60% of the action was on Pittsburgh at +2.5 Saturday night. This line has moved -1 to -2.5 Patriots. We get a number of 2.55 favoring Pittsburgh. The wrong team appears to be favored here, even with the Watt injury.
While it's not a big sampling, the Steelers are 6-2 Straight Up as a home underdog since 2017. This likely has to do with Pittsburgh suffering injuries that were overrated in terms of the impact.
