Texas vs Baylor, Indiana vs Purdue College Basketball Expert Predictions

Two great games in college basketball this Saturday as Texas takes on Baylor at 2 pm ET and Indiana heads to Purdue.  The BetOnline All Access team previews both games below.

Baylor is coming in as the -4.5 favorite in this one even though they have two more losses (8) than Texas (6). 

The Bears are coming off two straight losses as well and, while the Longhorns beat Baylor in the last meeting between these two teams, the Bears won the previous six.

Texas is No. 8 in the nation, Baylor is No. 9.

The Bears are 13-2 in home games. Baylor averages 78.0 points while outscoring opponents by 8.1 points per game.

The Longhorns are 11-4 in conference play. Texas has a 4-0 record in games decided by 3 points or fewer.

Keyonte George is scoring 16.9 points per game with 4.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists for the Bears. Adam Flagler is averaging 13.8 points and 3.9 assists over the past 10 games for Baylor.

Marcus Carr is averaging 17 points, 4.1 assists and 1.6 steals for the Longhorns. Jabari Rice is averaging 13.1 points over the last 10 games for Texas.

Elsewhere, the home team in the Indiana vs. Purdue game with the Boilermakers coming in as the -6.5 favorite.  And despite that solid home stat, the host has failed to cover the current spread in the last three games.

Purdue is ranked No. 5 (24-4) in the nation, Indiana No. 7 (19-9).

The Boilermakers are 13-1 on their home court. Purdue is seventh in the Big Ten shooting 33.5% from deep, led by Braden Smith shooting 41.6% from 3-point range.

The Hoosiers have gone 10-7 against Big Ten opponents. Indiana ranks fourth in the Big Ten with 25.5 defensive rebounds per game led by Trayce Jackson-Davis averaging 8.0.
