Bitcoin Futures May be the Next Big Short

Bloomberg's Sonali Basak discusses betting on bitcoin futures. She speaks with Bloomberg's Vonnie Quinn and Shery Ahn on "Bloomberg Markets."

“It’s not a trade for the faint-hearted,” Basak said.  “Bitcoin has surged this year.”

She added: “There is a worry, will there be a lot of people shorting to hedge their bets, yes.”

Bitcoin has begun to dominate the online gambling space, making up as much as 40% of all Web gambling transactions and that percentage keeps going up, especially with the likes of Bookmaker now accepting most forms of cryptocurrencies.
