Hackers Cash Out On $143K Of Bitcoin From The Massive WannaCry Ransomware Attack

Hackers engaged in a brazen robbery of some $143,000 in Bitcoin overnight Thursday, highlighting the continued susceptibility of the anonymous digital currency.

Victims of the so-called WannaCry ransomware were told to pay up $300 in Bitcoin to unlock their computers.

It is believed that the hackers my be trying to convert the stolen Bitcoin into another anonymous cryto-currency.
