The reigning College Football Playoff champions were expected to take a bit of a step back in 2022, according to the oddsmakers, but instead managed to win the championship for a second straight year.

This year they are favored to win UNDER 11.5 regular season games at a price of -145, but are the favorites to win a third straight championship.

No Stetson Bennett, no problem.  Georgia has some fresh talent to exploit.

From Athlon Sports:

Carson Beck left spring as the frontrunner to replace Bennett at quarterback, and a couple of transfers - Rara Thomas and Dominic Lovett - add to a receiving corps featuring the nation's best tight end in Brock Bowers. New faces need to emerge at every level on defense. However, there's little concern about this unit in '23.

UGA is not going anywhereThis Bulldogs team is every bit as talented as last year's, if not more so.

That’s what stacking elite recruiting classes on top of each other will do for you from a roster standpoint. Ultimately, it will come down to the quarterback battle if the Bulldogs are going to make history with a three-peat. Inexperience is an issue, but the staff is confident in the guys battling it out. Georgia should field another elite defense to go with a big-play offense and a manageable schedule.

  • Carson Beck left spring as the frontrunner to replace Bennett at quarterback.
  • Beck and Brock Vandagriff battled it out in the spring, and they’ll continue to do so into the fall — likely even after the season starts.
